I am on the Board of Directors of Faces and Voices of Recovery as well as the representative for the Southeastern region that includes the states of Georgia,South Carolina and North Carolina. I have long been an advocate for the rights of people struggling with addiction as well as people in recovery. I work hard to help change public policy in a way that provides us equal protection and rights like anyone else with a medical disease. It is my hope that one day soon, we can help bring an end to the stigma and discrimination that people with addictions continue to face in today's society.
Please check out our website at www.facesandvoicesofrecovery.org
Now that aside, the most important aspect for me is the fact through the grace of my higher power, I have 9 years clean from cocaine and meth, doing it one day at a time.
