ABOUT ME

Oh, the hard bit....I have had Agoraphobia since age 14. This eventually led to dependence on alcohol and prescription drugs to feel comfortable enough to go out in the world. of course the substance abuse ended up being a bigger problem than the Agoraphobia.
I am maint a quite happy person besides these issues...I seem to have an optimism that keeps coming back.
I have a son who does not live with me..he is 17yrs old. I have two cats I adore. I like to paint, trying to learn portraiture.
So that is me in a nutshell. :)


LIKES
Honesty, honest people, honesty with myself.
Open people....love intimacy...mental intimacy that is. :)
My son, my cats, painting portraits.....
Connecting with other human beings....I do not do it very often.

DISLIKES
Bigots...judgmental people...corrupted politicians...corporations...fundamentalists.

Thankyou for the hello Lilly....I will think of you and your sobriety,,,good luck with it. OCD is very difficult to deal with. I hope you can find some pece with that. :)

Hi Aerial,
I noticed you were from Australia so I just thought I'd say 'Hi'
I'm now on my 6th day of sobriety. I have had OCD since I was 16 and used drinking as a way to deal with that. I spent everyday battling through so much anxiety, I needed to drink just to be able to face the next day, and battle, ahead. But now I've been on medication and started therapy, the alcohol has exposed itself as being a major roadblock to my recovery. So I'm giving this a go. It's bloody hard and I'd love to chat or if you need to vent anytime to me or need support I'm here!

1 month sober....the pendulum swings wildly. Am I happy? No not happy...more like on a maniacal high...no one could ever be this happy, I have found the answer to life - sobriety and natural
highs.
