40 year old male alcoholic, 5 DUI's, moved to St. Thomas while running to avoid jail from the 5th one, been here over 10 years now. Went to Barbados for a month to work, but that didn't pan out. So, I'm back on STT, doin' my thing.... The break-up of my marriage has altered my path, I even fell off that path for 3 days, but I found may way back to the rooms, am sober again...hopefully for the final time...and am trying to grow as a person...to become the person my Higher Power meant me to be. My will has gotten in the way of that in the past...but I think my eyes are open now...seeing clearer...thinking clearer...doing the next 'right' thing...

I love my Harley, the Caribbean, my dog (whom I miss terribly since I moved to Barbados on 1-5-07...I'm back on STT now, but have only seen my pooch twice in the last year),reading...and growing.

Not a fan of cottage cheese...or yogurt. But everything else in the world I seem to like. And I guess I'm not a big fan of children, either...so I suppose I won't make any, that's pretty simple. I know that I'm too selfish at this stage of my life to want to commit 18 years to another human. I thought I had committed a lifetime to my soon-to-be-ex-wife...but I have found that some commitments can be broken by others...not by MY choice. And that's OK...I just need to accept what I cannot change, I believe I must live and let live...

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

Anyone that rides clean and sober is a friend of mine. My wife and I love to ride but I could have never did it drinking. Have a great weekend.

I love to read. I'm into some esoteric books...like Pathways to Perfect Living, by Vernon Howard, Conversations With God, by Neale Donald Waslch, etc., but I like fiction, too. I am pretty open to discovering new authors. And I really like this one book...it's kinda big...blue..it tells me How It Works. Maybe you've read it?

I like watching movies...

hmmm...do I HAVE any? I stay pretty busy, just doin' "stuff". I like to read, but I don't make enough time for it. I make about 4-5 meetings per week. I play with my Harley...wanna play with my dog....and I like to DO tons of stuff, but, lately, it seems as if I don't have the gumption to get off my duff and DO anything...

From "The Esoteric Path to a New Life", by Vernon Howard:

"Live a Practical New Life"

We have seen that the esoteric path is purely practical. Let's make that much stronger by
saying that it is the only practical way to
