I am 41 years old and married. We own a home in Lexington Park Maryland. I have "mood-ring" hazel eyes (they change color depending on my mood), long blonde hair, 5 tattoos and I am 5'8" and 175 lbs. I'm a Sagittarius (12/17/65 in the Chinese year of the snake. 1965 is also the first year of "Generation X"). I have 2 sons, one step-son and 3 step-daughters their ages are 24 (Jon Paul), 19 (David), 19 (Evan), 13 (Samantha), 10 (Ashley) and 8 (Alyssa). We also have 3 cats and 2 brand new puppies. I moved to Maryland in 1993 while I was in the Navy, but got out of the Navy here in 1997. I am originally from Alabama, but I've been all over the world.

For the last 10 years I've worked for companies as a Web Applications Developer in Southern Maryland. I build and maintain websites for DoD activities. I'm also a webmaster on the side. I enjoy playing with Java, VB, C#, VBA, Perl, Cold Fusion, ASP.NET, multimedia and graphics.

I was a jet engine mechanic in the Navy for 12 years prior to that. I'm a 91 Gulf War vet and I went back in the reserves for a while after 9/11/2001, but went IRR and stopped drilling when the Bush regime decided to invade Iraq without any rational justification for it.

I'm a spiritual being having a human experience. That's not to say that I like to pontificate. I just need to remain aware of it.

I have a myspace profile at http://www.myspace.com/vultan

You can email me at vultan@hotmail.com or chat with me on MSN Messenger using that account as well.

I love life, sobriety, recovery, beaches, freedom, our country, my family, birds, meeting people, camping, hiking, amusement parks, roller coasters, professional wrestling, college and professional football, sunbathing, the woods and the ocean, long hot baths by candlelight, reading non-fiction, reading and writing poetry, keeping up on current events and history, developing websites. I also enjoy all kinds of music and Breakfast Food.

People who act like Lemmings. People who repeat someone else's opinions without ever investigating them. Pushy, obnoxious and holier-than thou people. Racism, bigotry, oppression, the denial of anyone's rights (Civil or otherwise), flag-waving armchair, chickenhawk, wanna-be-patriots. CHRISTIANISTS, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and all other corporate clown retards. The current resident of the Whitehouse (God have mercy on his soul after he's judged for the crimes he's comitted).

Most importantly, I cannot stand to see anyone suffer because, I remember my own suffering. When it comes to alcoholism, I will forget my personal convictions on outside issues anytime to be there for anyone who reaches out.

I love almost everything. I'm not into rap or what people call R&B these days, but I like just about everything else. I love to listen to Heavy Metal, Classical, Classic Rock, Blues, Rockabilly, Folk, Gospel, Southern Rock and "Outlaw" Country (Real country music fans know what I'm talking about). I don't like new Country Nash-Vegas canned Soft-Rock-labeled-Country music crap. I love classic country and the "Outlaws". I grew up listening to Hank Sr and Hank Jr. My tastes in country music don't get too far from that.

I love music with character and stuff that makes you think.

Alcoholics Anonymous, The 12 Steps and 12 Traditions, Came to Believe, Living Sober, The Daily Reflections, Search for Serenity, A Salty Piece of Land-Jimmy Buffet, Profiles in Courage-John F. Kennedy, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court-Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Love poems of John Donne, Edgar Allen Poe's Short Stories, Dante's Inferno, The Book of Lies-Aleister Crowley, Liber Al Vel Legis-Aleister Crowley

Anything with Leslie Nielsen in it! I really only like completely gut-busting hilarity or historical fiction movies and "classics" I'm not a "movie-of-the-week" kind of guy. Life's too short to sit through hours of mediocre movies.

I read and studied the occult for about 15 years. I also studied various religions and philosophies. I wrote poetry for about the same length of time. These days I just prefer walking on the beach.

Since I've gotten sober I do my best not to think too much. It seems like when I did those things I wasn't nearly as happy as I am now. Back then I was a jet engine mechanic in the Navy, but now I'm a computer programmer.
God has been really good to me.
