Was a homeless, helpless drunken crackhead @ 24. Agreed to go to AA meetings so I could have a roof over my head. God put the people in my life that said "If you want to feel better today? You should have started on the steps yesterday." The pain of untreated alchoholism motivated me to do the work, and all of a sudden life wasn't so bad. Then life started to get good and it keeps on going.
