Addiction

This is the box that always scares me. What the heck do I say about myself in the 750 characters alloted to me. I guess if there is something you want to know you just need to ask!

Honesty, Openmindedness, Willigness. For the most part I like people who are open and honest and enjoy laughing. Since a big part of my recovery has become my spiritual journey, I like meeting people who have an interesting perspective on spirituality.

I really struggle with people who are convinced that they only way I can recover is to become a clone of them. Same meetings, same readings, same stepwork, etc. I'm glad that it works for them, but the last time I tried to be just like someone else I ended up a drug addict.

70's, 80's and 90's pop, old disco, old Motown, The Monkees, The Beatles. WOW... my musical choices make me seem SO old!

My biggest fear in the world is being trapped on a long flight without a book! Again, I am a sci-fi fan with the Dune Novels and Pern Novels being my favorites. I'm also a big fan of Robert Heinlien.

I'm a sci-fi fan, so Dune and Children of Dune are two of my favorite movies. Since my tastes are so varied, I also like the cheesy comedies no one else seems to like, anything with Bette Midler, the old TV mini-series Jesus of Nazareth is a favorite.

You know... I have got to get a hobby. I'm not sure I have one. There isn't any particular activity that I enjoy more than others. I haven't felt particularly artistic, but that may be a good place for me to start.
