Addiction

Hi I'm Billy alcoholic and addict. Well for those of you concerned I am doing very well. I had alot of emails of concern. I have been very busy making my life better;). I am coming up on one year 10/13/08, I am both very happy and surprised I have made it this long. I never thought I could stay sober. I have tried so many times. I entered AA and went faithfully in the beginning. I still attend meetings but only once a week. So much has changed in my life and for the good. I am reaching many goals in my life I could only dream of before. I have have become a better person abetter worker and so mcuh more stronger. I pray everyday for myself and those who need a prayer. I have had a horrible and dangerous past but it all could have been prevented. I made very bad choises and have did some really bad things.I don't regret much the only regret I have are the ones who where hurt mentaly physically and emotionally. I never want to go back to 10-13-07 but I keep it fresh in my memory "its a preventive maintence approach. Thank you for so many great friend I have met on addiction tribe.

Coffee,Plants and gardening. Nature,Cultures, Ethic Foods, I like to try new dishes. Grape vines, lighthouses, motorcycles, travel, Honesty and Trust. I like the water and oceans. I love the snow on water and in nature. I look at almost everything in an art form. When I look at a scene I see it as I would through a camera. I make art out of everything.

Lyers and Cheats. People with no faith, Narrow Minds and Ignorence. I don't hate the people who drink or do drugs I hate the substances. Believe it or not I still bartend 2- 3 nights a week as hypocritical as it may sound. I don't over serve force or push booze on anyone. I have a lot of conversations from both sober and drunk people about Alcoholism. I do not preach but leave the Big Book on the counter and answer any questions people may have. I can't help anyone who doesn't want to help himself or herself. They may have a problem but this is there way of dealing with it. I do make good money but I am there as a helping hand. When I am at work I analyze the scene and pick the brains of the room. Being around this atmosphere doesn't bother me and neither does the booze.

Music is my life. Through music I relate, I fantasize, I create. I just take the sounds and enter my own world creating a video graphic image in my mind. Almost like a movie but better because I temporarily live it. I fantasize with it, cry with it smile with it and work out to it. It relaxes me. I analyze the lyrics and cipher the meaning. As for the types of music? Well there is no limit since I look at music in many aspects. I love it all!

I mostly read books on sobriety and fitness. Sometimes it hard to actually read a full novel. I haven't tried in a while. I still have ADD so its hard but I read magazines and short stories.
I am also begining to write my own Story. Once in a great while the Bible. I do plan to start reading more of it.
