Frustration With Support Sites

Maybe
its
just
me
but
I
am
freaking
frustrated
with
sites
that
claim
to
be
support
for
addiction
(and
yes
I
am
including
this
site
in
my
frustration...) Yesterday
I
was
dealing
with
a
difficult
situation..
a
death
of
a
friend
I
lived
with
in
a
recovery
house
and
got
close
to
so
I
came
on
to
a
few
different
addiction
support
sites
looking
to
talk
to
someone
because
even
though
I
was
saying
things
like
"remember
why
we
are
here"
and
such
I
was
hurting
really
bad..
I
am
much
better
today
but
still
how
can
anyone
who
cant
make
it
out
to
a
12
step
meeting
(or
doesnt
goto
12
step
meetings)
find
any
support
if
when
they
look
for
it
they
get
shut
down
with
corny
lines
like
"the
world
will
know
the
type
of
person
they
are
through
you.."
when
in
reality
I
only
knew
a
tiny
part
of
them...
I
needed
someone
to
tell
me
its
alright
what
I
was
feeling
was
normal.
It
just
makes
me
realize
that
a
good
portion
of
people
on
these
sites
like
on
any
other
type
of
sites
are
a
bunch
of
phonies
and
fakes
and
dont
know
jack
about
being
there
for
someone
in
a
time
of
need.
Notice
how
I
said
good
portion...
There
are
some
genuine
people
on
these
sites
but
the
number
of
fakes
are
so
freaking
high
that
the
genuine
ones
sorta
just
blend
into
the
background.
I
am
seriously
loosing
faith
in
these
support
sites
which
is
sad
because
with
my
work
schedule
it
is
hard
to
make
it
to
meetings
and
to
see
or
talk
to
my
sponser.
