With regard to the choice of friends there is little to say; for a friend is never chosen. A secret sympathy, the attraction of a thousand nameless qualities, a charm in the expression of the countenance, even in the voice or manner, a similarity of circumstances,- these are the things that begin attachment."
These are not complete sentances, so if this bothers anyone I encourage them to skip to the hobbies section!
Clean clear water found in desertous mountains, pool, snooker and carombola, having the TV off, soultry weather, camping, swimming, grilled fish, relief, autumn, SNES (yes I am a huge dork), collective thinking, blueberries, the feeling of sheets and ALOT of pillows, ongoing education, myself, music music music...all types, thunder and rain, especially when it's kind of sunny outside, listening, Mark Ryden's paintings, motivation, poetry, Heroes, Reno 911, sturdy coasters, small animals, all animals, my akita Naima, stimulating conversation, walking softly, Tony's Gazelle, hot air balloons (my lifes dream is to ride on one!)

DISLIKES
To all of the obessive compulsive: these are more word associations and incomplete sentances! Continue on at your own risk!
Downward moving escalators, roller coasters, the electric company, presidential directives, meat, court tv, misdirected hostility, smoking, income tax (all other taxes I am fine with, as they are properly apportioned), impatience (in both myself and others), jelly bellies, the FDA's inability to get anything done in a timely manner, preditory lending agencies, the fake background laughing on sitcoms, restless leg syndrome, turning across heavy traffic, road signs with small print, small print in general, the lack of fire trucks in my old neighborhood, paper, banannas and explosions.
Executive Orders, aka Presidential Directives, do not require Congressional approval to take effect but they have the same legal weight as laws passed by Congress. The President's source of authority to issue Executive Orders can be found in the Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution.

When
I
first
started
going
to
meetings
I
went
so
sporatically
that
it
wasn't
really
effective
in
anyway.
I
go
to
as
many
meetings
as
I
do
now,
because
I
always
here
something
that
I
need
to
here.
Lately
though,
I
go
because
I
am
going
through
an
experience
that
I
need
to
be
in
touch
with
people
in
recovery
on
a
regular
basis.
While
I
believe
that
meetings,
service
work
and
step
work
is
the
best
way
to
a
strong
recovery,
it
may
not
work
for
everyone.
There
is
great
N.A.
literature
that
could
help
you
as
well.
I'm
big
on
prayer
and
meditaion
as
well.
The
Just
for
Today
book
has
also
given
me
some
great
clarity.
Any
way
you
do
it,
if
it
works
for
you,
do
it.
For
me
though,
my
life
didn't
start
until
I
started
in
recovery.
Life
is
completely
different.
Life
is
beautiful.
Life
is
good.
Take
care
of
yourself.
KAT
I collect PEZ dispesers. I once used them as Christmas ornaments using red and green ribbons.
I play pool competitively. Some days I have played pool for so many hours that I dream about it...then I wake up and want to go play some more. My sobriety has 100% to do with my pool game. There was a point that I realized that I could not learn and perform like I should when I am drinking. Even if I have had one binge that occured days prior to playing there is a drastic difference in my performance.
I used to play the piano, drums and vibraphone (really all mallet instruments...the vibes are just my favorite) before all of this. Maybe I will pick it up again someday...my passion is jazz (primarily fusion).
Here
on
the
slopes
of
hills,
facing
the
dusk
and
the
cannon
of
time
Close
to
the
gardens
of
broken
shadows,
We
do
what
prisoners
do,
And
what
the
jobless
do:
We
cultivate
hope.
