Addiction

I am a recovering Heroin addict.I could go on and on with my story of using and all the horrors that come with it but considering what site this is Im sure you all know. Everyone has a story,and if they involve addiction,they are usually about the same. so if you would like to hear my story then go ahead and ask me and I will be more than happy to tell it..Other than that, I am currently on suboxone. I work at a Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Shelter. Its the best job yet.. I work on the hot-line and do the residential staffing.. Finally a job that is important,instead of the dead end gas station hell whole jobs!! LOL Theres nothing wrong with working at a gas station,dont get me wrong. We all do what we got to do.. Its just that this job has a meaning and purpose and actually means something to me. I figured I have been there done all that so its my turn to give back.. I will be back in school soon. They would like me to start in January at BGSU, but with the baby I dont know that thats possible. At least I have started my at home studies towards my credit hours.. Yea, I am actually doing something with my life.. I am going to school for Social Work. My main goal is to work with teenagers that have drug problems.. See I WILL improve myself and be somebody someday.. And the GREAT thing is that that someday is NOW... I have my husband to thank for that.. He is truely a God send..He is not an addict, which made things that much harder for him to understand when I went back to rehab this last time (April 2006) We had only been married for a few months and here I was with a drug problem AGAIN!! He was a real trooper and stood by my side and never once let me down..I can honestly say he was there for me.. And on Monday(Sept.10)we will have our 2 year wedding ann. Yeah!! We did it.. My family has also been a HUGE support!! I dont know what I would do without my mom... She is AWESOME!!! My Dad on the other hand, I can do without,actually,I can do BETTER without.. Thats a long story that you are more then welcome to ask me about if you would like..Besides that I have a little girl and a little boy and Im pregnant. My children are why I am alive. I know that in my heart if it wasnt for them, I wouldnt be as strong of a person. There are what make me whole. I love them with all my heart and now Im gonna have another baby girl.. We are gonna name her Sophie!!! God has blessed me in sooo many ways.. Umm I have a bone tumor which makes everything that much harder.,but I am a very strong person and will continue to suceed in this world for myself and my family. I have learned to take things one day at a time.. Oh and I never mentioned my BFF. I have a BESTEST friend and her name is Lisa and get this she isnt being my friend because I have drugs or because she wants to sleep with my husband or ex-boyfriends. Yea can you believe that one. An all genuine friendship that doesnt want anything from me besides ME!! As you can tell I have had some troubles with Friends!! Yeah,imagine that!!! People can be very manipulative and decieveing if you let them.. I had to learn that one the hard way.. Oh well sometimes you are just better off without them. Whats that they say. stay away from old friends and old places. That couldnt be more true..
Oh and I have 3 tatoos and a couple of piercings. The only one I have in right now is the good ole tongue ring. But I would LOVE to get more.. After I have the baby, I want to get 2 star tatoos on my chest. And something down the back of my leg, I dont know what yet though. If you have any ideas,let me know!!!! But I think that would be cool. Prolly no more piercings unless I get my ears done again or my nose. I guess we will see. Well thats more than enough rambling from me... Looking forward to talking with all of you!!!

I love to listen to music. I enjoy all different kinds and when I listen to my favorites, I instantly feel better. I also enjoy walking, reading and doing things with my kids, of course!
And my favorite thing to do is go to concerts.

I have a really big problem with drugs. I dont like them and as a matter of fact they dont like me! And I dont like people who think they are better than everyone else. Thats about it on the dislikes.

I like to listen to a variety. I like Sublime,Nine Inch Nails,My Chemical Romance,Type O Negative, but I also listen to a little Otis Redding,Grateful Dead,Kenny Chesney,George Jones,Snoop,Fergie. I just love all kinds of music!!! STP rocks!

I would love to act like I read alot, but honestly I really dont. I read my NA books and some other ones here and there but for the most part Im not the book worm type.

I LOVE scary movies. They are the best! Everything from Children of the Corn to Hostil. Lately I have been watchingthe Eight Films to Die For series. And of course I watch Happy Feet and Shrek (I have kids)

I wish I had a hobbie. I really need to get one. Maybe someone could come up with some ideas for me. I do enjoy playing Guitar Hero,lol.
