So, I sometimes feel that the program encourage us to spend alot of time together, which can be good. Lately, i've felt the need to spend some time alone. Not to wollow, but to recover my spiritual connection, and spend some time in my head, to clean out sh*t. I know that the standard reaction is that I shouldn't trust myself alone, and that My brain isn't good at cleaning itself out. When is it ok to take personal time? How does one expand their spiritual connection, when they are hurting, if not alone? Do we ever get to the place where we trust ourselves again?

Or if you prefer Higher Power... I think it is important to be alone with your Higher Power... as often as you can! The important thing to remimber is, that you can't isolate.... THATS when things can get bad... I spend time praying and meditating ESPECIALY when I am having a rough time of it! But I always call my sponser and other recovering addicts, go to meetings regularly and remind myself that no matter what, a day clean for me is a mircal! (Sorry bit of addict spelling there... but you know what I mean!) So yes down time or alone time is important to, just dont over do it!!! Dannielle
