You'll
need
1x2kg
(4.6lbl)
organic
free
range
chicken
(whole),
one
large
carrot
(roughly
cut),
1
stick
of
celery
(roughly
cut),
1
large
onion
(roughly
cut),
2
tablespoons
chopped
parsley,
herb
garni
(fancy
name
for
some
nice
herbs
but
don't
cut
too
fine
as
we
are
going
to
strain
them
out).
Fine
egg
noodles
(1/2
pack)
Wash
chicken
in
water
and
clean
out
centre
-
it's
a
dirty
bird.
Get
a
very
large
pot,
cover
whole
chicken
in
water
(3-4
litres)
and
bring
to
boil
and
turn
down
to
simmer
for
30
minutes.
Regularly
scoop
of
fat
and
foam.
After
30
minutes
add
herbs,
carrot,
celery,
onion
and
some
salt
and
pepper.
Simmer
in
open
pot
for
3
hours,
occasionally
stirring.
After
3
hours
take
off
heat
and
strain
into
a
clean
pot
or
container
-
this
is
the
nicest
chick
base
on
the
planet.
Save
some
of
the
chicken
that
is
left
for
the
soup
-
throw
the
rest
away
(or
into
compost)
other
than
the
liquid
which
will
be
yellow
or
even
slightly
green
(from
celery).
Put
one
liter
or
so
back
in
pot
and
add
some
thin
egg
noodles
-
cook
for
4-5
minutes
until
only
just
firm
noodles.Add
parley
and
salt
and
pepper
to
taste.
No
matter
what
happens
in
the
world,
this
soup
will
keep
you
safe.
Freeze
rest
of
base
soup
for
risotto
or
almost
anything
you
need
a
chicken
stock
base
for.
