Hey there, my name is Kyle. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have been clean since July 11th 2006 HURRAY!!! (yes the background pic is a tattoo I got myself for my bday to celebrate my sobriety WOOT). I have an awesome partner that is a big support in my recovery. I have been a member of NA since 2002 like a great many addicts I was resistent to the idea that I had to give up and trust in my higher power. Well for that matter I questioned was there even a higher power out there. Atleast i finally got the message i guess.
I owe my recovery to my Higher Power for basically slapping me in the face and saying "Look, is this really how you want to live?? youve lived like this for 8 years.. time for some change"... that was the day I went to my addictions counsellor and asked to be put on waiting lists for treatment and recovery houses..
It mustve truely been my time to get clean cuz the next day I got a phone call saying I was accepted into a recovery house and was on the wait list for a treatment center that could get me in in around month. And from then on my life has been about my recovery.. living this new way of life. Now I can not imagine living any other way but sober. It is the best feeling in the world. I wish everyone Peace, Love & Happiness & Another Safe 24!.
