Addiction

Currently studying for a degree in Addictions Counseling; living in "Crack Central" ironically enough, with my 2 boys, 3 cats and 1 leopard gekko.

I've been given the gift of a new beginning, and all the praise for that goes to the God of my understanding--Whom I will NEVER understand! Someone forgot to mention to me that Jesus hung out with scumbags like us, and His best friends were absolutely the kind of ppl I meet in meetings every time I go. The folks in churches who think they've got it all figured out just don't have the benefit of a program that exposes JUST how far they have to go. I heard that the #1 thing that keeps ppl out of church is the PEOPLE there. That may be true, but I am willing to go to any lengths to find the One who loves me enough to go thru Hell in my place. I sure didn't mind sitting at the bar with a bunch of idiots, so, it's just a matter finding a church group that I can live with. And He brought me to a little bunch of believers who are about as REAL as any I've ever met, and who seem to be good with me and my rowdy crew messing up their floors. Some of them even have stories to rival the ones in this group; further proof to me that the Lord God DOES watch over drunks(addicts) and children. I feel that I am both...or was it "idiots and children"? ;o)

People who do not take themselves too seriously, but are able to take other things with the amount of respect and seriousness due them.

Ex-husbands. Cruelty. (Angry)Yellers. Hypocrites.
Stupid ppl who are arrogant. ;o) Bigotry...
ppl saying "you're Weird" (as if that's a BAD thing!!)

....and, mostly, I dislike when I don't get my way. RIGHT NOW. lol

The list of what I don't like is much shorter:

Metal
Most things w/ cursing in it
90% of all country

Otherwise, it all depends on my mood.
I love many styles of Christian music, again, depends on mood.
