I am alcholic /addict, who finally is doing the steps that needs to be taken to stay clean and sober. I with the help of the 12 steps , and my Higher Power am learning ways to live life with out the drug or drink! Since I got sober on 09/11/06 I have given my will over to GOD as I understand him. I still have alot of work to do, alot amends to make, I am not perfect and doubt if I ever will be. But I am willing today, at first I did not get a sponser or work the steps. But I quickly learned I had to do the work work the steps if I wanted what I saw other people had. I wanted a new life, change. I had to stop fighting it, and become willing to listen, to take suggestions. Then , only then did I begin to see change!
I went from using Meth daily, being in such a deep depression, without a home , job, or family left that trusted me. To where I am liking myself again, learning to love me, rebuilding the relationships I lost with family,. becoming a Mom again to my oldest daughter 12 years late. but it is truly a blessing because she is in recovery too and doing well. I Pray now, for guidance each day I wake up. I am back in school at the age of 48. attending college. I never thought I would do that! I am happier today and know if I keep doing what I am doing, I will see more changes and be given more gifts! I love being clean and sober, and I love all my new friends, and have found out, You can have fun being clean and sober But you know what the last year or so of my addiction, I just was not having any fun at all! OH, About me personally, I am divorced, but in a good relationship. New one , but so far it is going well! I am outgoing, and treat people as I would want them to treat me. I have 2 girls , 19 and 26. I am the proud grandma of a pretty 8 year old grandaughter, I live in Tacoma Washington, born here but have lived many places, even Germany , ( ex was army)

I
just
need
to
share
this,
and
vent
a
little
too. The
past
week
I
have
been
feeling
alot
of
anxiety,
crying
for
no
reason,
and
moody.
I
am
overwhelmed
from
school
,
homework
and
other things,
so
I
know
some
of
that
is
part
of
